Guiding Growth, Elevating What Matters

Our new school district faces real challenges—funding, staffing, transportation, and the urgent need to build infrastructure from the ground up. But I believe this is also a rare opportunity to create something better. As a parent of two public school students, I’m deeply invested in the quality of our schools. I understand the importance of preserving programs that support advanced learners, students with disabilities, and those passionate about arts and athletics. I also understand the concerns of teachers and staff who want to know their voices will be heard and their work respected.

With my background in procurement, contract negotiation, and public policy, I bring the skills needed to make smart, cost-effective decisions and work collaboratively with legislators to secure the resources our students deserve. I’m running for school board because I believe in this community—and I’m ready to help guide our district’s growth in a way that elevates what matters.

Strategic Growth

Building a District That Reflects Our Community

The creation of the Lake Mountain School District gives us a once-in-a-generation opportunity to design a school system that truly reflects the needs, values, and priorities of our local communities. With smart planning, local voices, and strategic administrative policies, we can build something better—not just bigger.

As a school board member, I will advocate for:

  • Prioritizing school construction in high-growth areas to avoid overcrowding and long bus rides.

  • Developing a phased infrastructure plan that builds out our district offices, transportation hubs, and support services without overextending our budget.

  • Implementing lean administrative structures that reduce overhead and put more money into classrooms.

  • Attracting and retaining top talent through common-sense incentives and fair pay for teachers.

  • Working with parents, teachers, and the community to collaboratively shape policy, ensure transparency, and build trust.

Student Programs

Protecting What Helps Kids Thrive

Every child deserves access to the programs that help them grow—academically, creatively, socially, physically, and emotionally. As we build a new district, we have the opportunity to design a system that reflects our community’s values and supports the whole child. Even with budget challenges, we can make smart, strategic choices to protect and elevate the programs that matter most.

Here’s how I’ll work to make that happen:

  • Prioritizing program funding, ensuring arts, athletics, special education, and advanced learning are core budget priorities—not afterthoughts.

  • Pursuing state and federal grants for special education, STEM, and arts programs to supplement local budgets.

  • Piloting shared-resource models such as shared staffing or mobile programs to serve multiple schools efficiently.

  • Leveraging community partnerships, collaborating with local businesses, non-profits, and universities to support extracurriculars, mentorships, and enrichment programs.

  • Addressing overcrowding through smart school placement, temporary capacity solutions, and phased hiring.

Fiscal Responsibility

Making Every Dollar Count

As we build a new district from the ground up, we must be wise stewards of our resources. Fiscal responsibility isn’t just about cutting costs—it’s about making smart, strategic decisions that support our teachers, empower our students, and ensure long-term sustainability. With my background in procurement and contract negotiation, I know how to stretch every dollar while protecting what matters most.

On the school board, I will focus on:

  • Negotiating competitive contracts that reflect the value of our educators while staying within budget.

  • Pursuing grants and stipends that support innovation and reduce out-of-pocket costs for teachers.

  • Implementing needs-based budgeting to ensure schools that service higher-need populations receive appropriate support.

  • Using bulk purchasing and vendor partnerships to lower costs on classroom materials, technology, and equipment.

  • Developing multi-year financial plans that anticipate growth and avoid short-term fixes.
